Flow line Safety Restraint System / Red Iron Sling Pipe Restraint System

Introduction
Red Iron Slings are an engineered temporary pipe restraint system, designed to minimize the risk of injury due to a pipe failure. Intended for use on well heads, flow lines, pipelines, and other high pressure well control equipment.

General Information
• The Red Iron Sling is designed to restrain and limit movement of high pressure piping during failures. 
• Red Iron Slings are manufactured to ASME B30.9 standards and have been certified to be in compliance
with all Global temporary piping standards along with Shell Standards. 
• American Iron Works will provide training and certification on proper installation of all Red Iron Slings.
• Each sling comes in 3 lengths, – 4ft, 10ft, and 20ft.
• The slings are half hitched to the flow line at strategic points, and secured together with a shackle. Securing it with a shackle makes it easy to break connection and replace seals, and refasten in a timely manner should you have to do so.

Maintenance 
The Red Iron Slings need to be visually inspected during each install. Things you should look for:
The tag information needs to be legible.
•  There should not be any tears in the outer webbing that shows the internal yard.
•  There should not be any internal knots, showing the sling having internal damage.
 The Red Iron Sling is designed and manufactured so that a visual inspection should be sufficient to determine if the sling has an allowable working condition. It is designed so the outer cover is designed to rip or tear before the interiors damaged.

Warning Information 
1. Do not exceed the rated working pressure (PSI) rating of the product.
2. Use only on recommended flow line size and pressure ratings.
3. Inspect all components before use.
4. Do not use damaged components.
5. Do no mix components together meant for different pressure ratings.
6. Do not use any component for lifting.
7. Use only if properly trained by AIW or certified trainer.
8. Proper use of this device can reduce but  NOT eliminate the risk of severe injury or even death.
